This component is mainly used in the cold bed section, where hot rolled products are transferred, guided, and stabilized. It is typically installed along the sides or beneath the transport and lifting areas, helping ensure smooth material flow while protecting surrounding equipment.
The skirt plate is constantly exposed to high temperatures, heavy impact, abrasive scale, and continuous friction. That's why we go beyond conventional materials. Our solution combines a high-strength base plate with an advanced laser-cladded functional surface, delivering both structural reliability and long-term wear protection.
On the working surface, we apply our laser cladding technology using tungsten carbide (WC) and high-chromium tungsten alloy materials. This creates a dense, metallurgically bonded layer that significantly enhances performance. Compared with ordinary liner plates, the wear resistance is improved by several times. At the same time, the plate offers excellent resistance to high temperature, corrosion, and impact. In real operating conditions, the online service life can reach up to 18 months, greatly reducing replacement frequency and maintenance costs.
We also provide flexible design options to match different production needs. Our Cold Bed Skirt Plates are available in both fixed and adjustable types. Fixed versions are securely bolted for stable operation, while adjustable designs allow fine tuning of angle and clearance to suit various product sizes.
